WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE STAND FOR
As a network, BAUM e.V. is committed to advancing the central issue: a future worth living, through sustainable economic activity within planetary boundaries. Founded in 1984, the association now has a good 860 members and is a voice of sustainable companies at national and European level and a driving force for the socio-ecological market economy.
BAUM code of conduct for sustainable business
BAUM supports its members and other companies, that are willing to transform, in the establishment and further development of sustainability strategies and connects stakeholders from business, politics, science, media and associations. Members and strategic partners benefit from the platform for the practice-oriented exchange of information and experience, expertise and impetus. The United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the Paris Agreement on climate change are the guiding principles for action.
Management
BAUM's work is led by the Executive Board, which includes Yvonne Zwick as Chairwoman and Dieter Brübach and Martin Oldeland as Deputy Chairmen.
The full-time executive board is complemented by 12 honorary board members (extended board).
Other committees
The members of the Corporate Advisory Board and the Scientific Advisory Board are directly involved in shaping the strategic direction and practical work of BAUM and are important dialogue partners for the Executive Board.
BAUM is involved in numerous committees in order to effectively represent the interests of sustainably operating companies. Internationally, BAUM is a founding member of the International Network for Environmental Management e.V. (INEM).
