Sustainable Development
As a network for sustainable business, BAUM supports sustainable development that follows clear values and is orientated towards the global sustainability goals of the United Nations, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as the climate goals of the UN, the EU and the German government.Climate & Energy
In order to stop anthropogenic climate change and achieve the two-degree target of the Paris Climate Agreement, greenhouse gas emissions must be significantly reduced quickly. This can be achieved through an intelligent mix of measures, particularly in the electricity, heating and transport sectors. Expanding and utilising renewable energies, increasing energy efficiency, integrating resource-efficient existing technology into industrial processes and plants and thus saving money - all of this increases profits.Mobility
For many years, BAUM has been working on the question of how the demand for mobility can be satisfied while at the same time reducing greenhouse gases, environmental pollution and resource consumption. Unfortunately, transport is the sector that has not contributed any CO2 reductions to the German government's climate protection targets. BAUM projects make important contributions to the development and implementation of new solutions in companies. The focus here is on the concept of corporate mobility management and the increased use of climate-friendly bicycles.Sustainable Management & Sustainable Finance
Our economic system is undergoing a profound transformation. Sustainable management, production and investment are increasingly being integrated into strategies, product development, risk management, consulting and reporting. This also increases the importance of the topic for regional value creation and global business relationships as well as in the context of public funding. Through moderation and networking, BAUM connects the discourse worlds of sustainable finance with the real economy and its specific concerns and translates transparency requirements such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) and EU taxonomy for application in corporate practice.Circular Economy
One element on the path to a socio-ecological market economy within planetary boundaries is the circular economy - more accurately formulated as a circular economy. This describes the vision of regenerative economic systems in which raw materials are managed in a circular way. With its description of the technosphere and biosphere, Cradle to Cradle makes a significant, realisable contribution to this.Digitisation
A future worth living, planetary boundaries - remarkable progress is being made worldwide in the right direction. However, the topic needs more dynamism, much more. Digitalisation offers enormous opportunities for organising our way of doing business and organising society, but also risks that must not be ignored. It's about recognising the great opportunities now and making digitalisation the best tool for a future worth living: for solving ecological, social and ethical issues - economically valuable.Biodiversity & Ecosystems
Companies are changing the natural balance of forests with their supply chains - both nationally and globally. According to the World Climate and Biodiversity Councils, climate and biodiversity protection urgently need to be considered together. BAUM provides information about the potential and future of forests in a changing climate and offers business, politics and society options for effective measures for land-based climate and biodiversity protection.BAUM Insights
