BAUM brings the financial world and businesses together through facilitation and networking.
Our economic system is undergoing a profound transformation. Sustainable business practices, production and investment are being increasingly integrated into strategies, product development, risk management, consultancy and reporting. As a result, sustainable business practices are becoming a key consideration in management and decision-making with regard to regional value creation, global business relationships and financing issues.
BAUM facilitates cross-sectoral transformation dialogues at federal, local and regional levels. The aim is to interpret new regulations so that they contribute to business success and the resilience of business models. Working in partnership with our members, we translate complex frameworks such as the CSRD, international and European reporting standards, and the EU Taxonomy into practical solutions for businesses. Initiatives such as the Green Deal and the New European Bauhaus strengthen business models the more they are understood and shaped locally. That is why BAUM is committed to a resilient, regional economy: this is where value is created, where people work, and where the future is shaped.
BAUM acts as a DNK guide and offers a range of events and training courses to facilitate, deepen and discuss the application of the DNK. These include the monthly CSRD Salon, a variety of webinars hosted by our members, and collaborative formats such as the Fit4ESRS training series and CSRD practical workshops. You can find them in the events calendar (which can be filtered specifically by this future matter).

BAUM e.V. begrüßt als Netzwerk nachhaltig wirtschaftender Unternehmen das von BMJV und BMF veröffentlichte gemeinsame Rahmenkonzept für die Einführung der neuen Rechtsform „Gesellschaft mit gebundenem Vermögen“ (GmgV). In einem Brief nimmt der Verband zu Details Stellung.
Biodiversität im Agrarbanking: Herausforderungen und Chancen der ESG-Risiken
Die Bedeutung von Biodiversität rückt im Agrarbanking stärker in den Fokus. Eine aktuelle Marktstudie von der Landwirtschaftlichen Rentenbank und Capgemini Invent beleuchtet, wie Biodiversität bislang im Kreditgeschäft berücksichtigt wird und wo die größten Herausforderungen liegen.
Fundierte klimabezogene Entscheidungen für Unternehmen
In einem Pilotprojekt zur Messung von Klimawirkung kooperiert BAUM mit right° und PKF IVT. Ziel der Initiative ist, eine Verbandslösung zu etablieren, mit der BAUM-Mitglieder die Klimawirkung ihrer Geschäftsmodelle in Grad Celsius messen und ihre jährliche Entwicklung direkt mit dem 1,5°-Ziel des Pariser Klimaschutzabkommens abgleichen können.
