Membership forms
There are two types of membership: supporting membership and ordinary (voting) membership, which entitles the holder to participate in general meetings. Natural and legal persons interested in ordinary membership signal their interest to They will then be immediately included in the circle of supporting members so that they can benefit from all the advantages of BAUM membership, such as access to member-exclusive formats. Formal acceptance as a full member takes place at the next general meeting.

Which membership is right for me?
This depends on your company’s compliance rules, your self-image and your willingness to get involved. For many companies, it is completely sufficient to benefit from the above-mentioned advantages and access to the network through a sponsorship contribution. We also engage in agenda-setting through strategic sponsoring partnerships, for example, which enable our members to carry out in-depth specialist work and allow us to create public platforms.

FAQ on membership
How often is the membership fee due?
Members of the Sponsors’ Association and full members of BAUM support the work of the association with a regular annual contribution. The contribution is calculated for 12 months from the month in which the member joins (if applicable, in deviation from the calendar year).
How much is the membership fee for organizations?
The amount of the contribution is generally based on self-assessment. The decisive factor is the number of employees, taking into account affiliated companies within the meaning of Section 15 AktG. This regulation applies accordingly to organizations.
The minimum contribution amount is:

What discount options are available for organizations?
Start-ups up to three years after founding benefit from a 50% discount on the regular membership fee for the first two years of membership.
Non-profit companies and organizations, associations, clubs, authorities, universities and other scientific institutions receive a 50% discount on the regular membership fee.
For group-affiliated subsidiaries/sister companies that operate independently and wish to become independent members, a reduction of 75% on the regular membership fee is offered if the largest company in the group is a regular paying member.
Membership fees can be temporarily reduced or waived in special cases upon request. Such cases include, for example, financial emergencies or loss of employment in the case of natural persons, financial bottlenecks or restructuring in the case of corporate members. The approval of such an application is the responsibility of the Executive Board and must be reapplied for annually. A corresponding form can be requested by e-mail to .
How much is the membership fee for individuals?
The annual membership fee for natural persons is €128, reduced €64 for non-earners (e.g. students and pensioners – proof must be provided).
Will I receive a donation receipt?
Sponsorship contributions and donations are tax deductible. A donation receipt can be issued on request for donations of € 300 or more. For donations up to € 300, the payment receipt or bank statement is sufficient as proof of donation (simplified proof of donation).
How can I cancel my membership?
Withdrawal from the association or sponsoring group can be declared at any time and becomes effective at the end of the contribution year in which the corresponding written notification is received by BAUM.
