GOTS is the world’s leading processing standard for organic textiles, setting globally recognized requirements for environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing across the entire textile supply chain. In March 2026, GOTS Version 8.0 was officially published, marking the outcome of an extensive, transparent, and highly collaborative revision process. This process brought together a diverse range of stakeholders—including industry experts, Certification Bodies, civil society organizations, and supply chain actors—reflecting the collective expertise and shared commitment of the global GOTS community. The updated version incorporates new insights, strengthens existing criteria, and responds to evolving challenges and expectations within the textile sector. GOTS Version 8.0 will become effective in March 2027, allowing Certified Entities sufficient time to understand and implement the revised requirements.
In this webinar, participants will be guided through the most relevant updates and key changes introduced between GOTS Version 7.0 and Version 8.0. The session aims to provide a clear and practical overview, helping companies, certifiers, and other stakeholders understand what the new version means for their operations and how to prepare for a smooth transition.
